KINGBOLT Energy Drink "ONLY THE KINGS LIVE FREE".
Concept design was to create an energy drink by incorporating an illustrated character and hand lettering
I was challenged to fully design the 2016 annual report for Allegiant Airlines. The company grew 18 percent through that year. I wanted to emphasize on the growth and give credit to the reasoning behind the profitable year. The design took on a typographic approach by extracting small snippets from the president’s letter and highlighting them in full-page layouts. I positioned the text over images of aerial shots that not only represent the “high” success rate but also the various experiences possible for the consumer. To tie the images to the brand, I gave them a blue and orange monotone color to reflect their logo. I also wanted the footer to be unique in its way rather having a traditional page number only, so I ran a rule above and below the page numbers across the entire page. I want to thank paragraph styles, table styles and tabs for making this project possible.

*Definitely consider Bebas Neue one of my favorites*
This is one of my favorite projects (thus why it’s the first one)! This self-promotion poster characterizes everything about me. Not only was it layered over an image of my portrait, but the copy and execution represent me and my style to the fullest. The lettering was illustrated then painted in Photoshop; the colors embody strength and passion. The background was touched with splatter texture to give the visual some balance and to also add to the “chaos” brand.

I’ve always been fascinated by beer and liquor packaging. Having a Mexican background, my first attempt in wanting to create something was for Tecate (a Mexican product). Their current campaign revolves around the “Be Bold” message. I wanted to create a special edition can; “THE BOLDEST” beer can in the market. I felt the brand mark need a bolder look for this project so I illustrated a new version of it while keeping its main features. I executed the design by hand illustrating all the graphics and combined both typography and custom lettering.

Experimenting new ways to express a message through lettering techniques.
The toughest logo ever created. Most energy bars claim to be the best, but there’s only one that is known to be the toughest. The brand Tuffee evolved from an idea of an energy bar that combined both toughness and toffee. I created an illustrated logo that embodied toughness by incorporating both a rhino and strong lettering. My intent was to aesthetically appeal to young athletes, which in high school alone, consists of over 7.5 million members. With little interest from the energy bar market, in targeting to this niche, Tuffee came about. The package also took on the desired look by using brown rough tones and the use of the Rockwell font.

One word can be interpreted in so many ways. The challenge in creating these posters was trying to illustrate the concept with the use of limited words. The tone, which was a vital part of the direction, was created with use of proper colors, fonts and textures. Many ideas were thought out but two posters arose.
“Voices” Through the different angles and fonts, this poster’s concept represents the many influences one encounters during voting. The colors are representative to politics and the textures express the distortion among the voices.
“VOTE” The concept can be interpreted in one word, manipulation. The voter holds the power and this is shown through the puppet string elements that represent control over the politician. The voter is also given strength through the strong bold font choice.

Hot Kitchen! This authentic Mexican restaurant was in need of a new logo. Its brand appealed to an upper class market. When creating the logo and collateral, my intent was to keep the typography clean and simple. The chili pepper took on the focal point in the logo. It was a perfect fit for both the “hotness” and the Mexican culture.
The Sustainability Committee was in search of a new logo to promote their organization. This committee was founded at The Art Institute of Tampa with the priority on spreading awareness and being active with the issues revolving sustainability. The design took on many looks and stages. My intent was to emote their goals through the logo. The final design embodied the feel of “green” and eco-friendly. The use of a sketchy illustrated leaf allowed it to tack on an organic feel. The club was also renamed to “Sustain Club” to take away from a serious tone and appeal more to a younger generation.
